Sparkling Overture

Sparkling Overture was written to celebrate the centenary of the Swiss brass band La Musique Militaire de Rougemont. This energetic and dynamic piece opens with a festive and resolutely positive fanfare. The much more tranquil and lilting second theme is a magnificent chorale which is then followed by a brilliant return of the first motif. Used as a theme tune, this piece will be ideal as a contrasting, joyful and sparkling concert opening.

Sparkling Overture wurde anlässlich des 100-jährigen Bestehens der Schweizer Brass Band La Musique Militaire de Rougemont komponiert. Dieses energiegeladene und dynamische Stück beginnt mit einer festlichen und bewusst positiven Fanfare. Das viel ruhigere und melodische zweite Thema ist ein großartiger Choral. Danach kehrt das erste Thema auf brillante Art und Weise wieder. Dieses Stück eignet sich bestens für den Beginn eines kontrastreichen und mitreißenden Konzerts.

Sparkling Overture a été composée à l’occasion du centenaire du brass band suisse La Musique Militaire de Rougemont. Cette pièce pleine d’énergie et de dynamisme débute avec une fanfare festive et résolument positive. Le thème B, beaucoup plus calme et chantant, est un magnifique choral, auquel succède le retour brillant du thème initial. Sous forme d’indicatif, cette pièce sera idéale pour un début de concert contrasté, étincelant et pétillant.
